Today, on the International Health Day, I want to tell you a story. A story about a 5-year old girl who dreams to become a painter. She spends all her time on painting wonderful sunsets, green trees and small curvy river – everything she sees outside of the window of her hospital room. She paints in-between chemotherapies as the only way to bring some joy to her mom, and she is one of 200,000 kids touched by cancer every year.
I do wish the world would care more about these children instead of giving up on them. This summer I want to take a journey to Sri Lanka to work in a project “Faith” to help children touched by cancer to see the brighter future ahead. I want to engage the whole world through social media to take action upon Global Goal #3 and make sure these kids get healed and build their better tomorrow. If not us, then who?
I want this girl to become a famous painter. I want these kids to fulfill all their bright dreams so that after all they will help other children like them. I want to start this life-changing chain now.
